Duties Description
The IES North Bailey Site supervisor is responsible for facilitating the mission of Integrated Employment Services (IES) by providing person-centered services and supports that develop, improve and maintain employability skills. The goal of IES is to assist each individual to reach their highest level of independence in the least restrictive work environment. Services are community-based across WNY in volunteer locations, classroom settings, and employment situations at businesses. Selected candidate will work with the Habilitation Specialist 2 to provide direct supervision of assigned staff in the provision of program services. Position Specific Duties Coordinate staffing and communicate with treatment teams. Arrange transportation and liaise with employers/volunteer agencies. Ensure Medicaid compliance; attend Life Plan meetings and assist with Staff Action Plans. Review billing documentation and facilitate timely corrections. Be knowledgeable in the Transformation Agenda, regulations, Audit protocols, ADMs, Policies and IES internal controls for CPV and SEMP to complete initial review of billing documentation. Train Job Coaches to complete corrections and provide assistance with computer skills. Supervise Job Coaches including TIMES, SUR, evaluations, daily staffing, duty assignments, technical assistance and mandates as needed. Contribute to the IES leadership team at department meetings, planning sessions, and vocational trainings; participate in continuous improvement workgroups with other IES Supervisors to address vulnerabilities. Ensure site operations comply with applicable regulations, procedures, and individual safeguard plans. Assist in creating training curriculums and activities for individuals to transition from volunteering to employment; model soft skills and work-related etiquette; provide Job Coaching in the community as needed. Liaise with CPV/SEMP Sites and Residential Teams; perform other duties to meet operational needs including direct service provision. Travel required to alternate IES Sites, community placements and Job Sites. Oversee a program location with responsibility for compliance in Day Habilitation, fiscal oversight, and incident management. Polish strong communication, writing and organizational skills; ability to work independently. Review monthly summary notes to meet Medicaid billing requirements; train staff on monthly summary note composition and Safeguard Summary Plans to ensure health and safety. Monitor implementation of Safeguard Summary Plans, Day Program Staff Action Plans and Support and Risk Accountability Plans; revise as needed to reflect individuals’ abilities and required supports. Review referrals for PT, OT, Nutrition, Speech, Psychology and other Article 16 services; participate in team and continuous improvement meetings to promote individualized services. Interact with families, Care Coordinators, and other service providers as needed; participate in adjunct tasks as assigned. May serve as lead clinical person in an assigned Day Hab room; schedule outings, complete Day Hab paperwork, ensure safety and welfare, and handle Day Hab billing and documentation; engage individuals in activities and work-related tasks; provide supervisory coverage and transportation support as needed. Non-Competitive Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in a human services field* For the purpose of these qualifications, a degree in a human service field includes the professional disciplines of audiology, community mental health, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, vocational counseling, social work, speech/language pathology and therapeutic recreation (including concentrations in art, dance, drama, music, or physical education); or related disciplines studying human behavior (e.g., gerontology, human services, sociology, speech communication) or human skills development (e.g., counseling/guidance, education, human development). Examples of non-qualifying degrees include criminal justice, political science, liberal arts, and business.
