Overview

The Columbia Museum of Art (CMA), Columbia, SC, an AAM-accredited museum, seeks an Executive Director to lead the Museum into its next era. With a $6M budget and forward-looking strategic plan, the Director will champion growth, engagement, and sustainability. Located in a vibrant capital city, CMA boasts a 75-year legacy and a celebrated collection. Salary Range: $215,000 – $240,000, plus comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and chief staff fundraiser, elevating CMA’s profile across South Carolina and beyond.
  • Lead fundraising efforts and implement strategic initiatives to advance CMA’s mission.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the organization and guide the execution of the strategic plan.

Qualifications

  • Eight+ years of senior-level museum/arts/nonprofit leadership experience.
  • Proven success in fundraising and strategic leadership.
