
Business Area President**Door Systems, Direct Business North America President**ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems, the world’s largest manufacturer of automated doors, is seeking candidates for President – North America for its Commercial Door & Docking Solutions business branded Door Systems ASSA ABLOY and part of our Industrial Business Segment’s Direct Business.As President for Door Systems North America, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in establishing goals, strategies, plans, and policies for North America spanning the continental United States, Mexico and multiple Provinces in Canada.With a market branding of Door Systems ASSA ABLOY, we are in an excellent position in our markets to continue our planned growth.Ensuring adherence to high ethics and compliance with ASSA ABLOY’s code of conduct is an important part of this position. As a leader, this position will be responsible for the development of key senior leaders’ management and high potential employees to ensure continued success in succession planning. Moreover, this position will ensure success for 800 employees with revenues of $300 MUSD and growing organically and via acquisition. This position will also drive sales and provide operational analytics, key performance indicators for sales and operations.This position will report to the Industrial Business Segment President in North America and will be physically based in Charlotte, North Carolina.This is an exciting career opportunity for you, having high ambitions and looking for new challenges, in a dynamic role, with huge influence and large growth potential.**What we are looking for!*** The candidate will be a proven general manager who brings skills in growing and running a sales and service organization.* Previous P&L experience and a proven track record of consistently developing teams and growing sales by advancing product, marketing and sales strategies.* Lead a team of 800 employees as well as the North American Senior Management team.* This individual will have demonstrated experience utilizing a consultative sales approach in a business to business environment; experience of direct sales model is crucial for the position.* The successful candidate will deal with multi-functional teams from sales, supply chain, technical service, field operations, marketing, and financial controls.* Expertise in business development, market expansion, proven M&A activities, organic growth and service development.* Understanding a customer’s business model and service needs (as opposed to simply pushing product and price).**Candidate Profile and Previous Experience*** Extensive experience in the Commercial Door and Docking (overhead doors, sectional doors, docking equipment).* General Management positions with full P/L responsibility including the entire value chain.* Proven experience from business-to-business environments, especially in North America.* Experienced in successful acquisition and integration of companies.* Success in working in a matrix organization, a highly-demanding environment with different professionals representing different areas and cultures.* Strong leadership skills, excellent analytical and creative problem solving abilities, business planning, influence management, and a hands-on approach to business will be important competencies.* The candidate will have the ability to motivate individuals to exceed expectations in terms of corporate plans and in contributing to the overall profitability of the business.* This person will be a self-starter who possesses an innovative approach to business along with a strategic mindset with the ability and willingness to dig into details when needed to fully grasp business challenges.* The candidate will have the well-developed interpersonal and collaborative skills appropriate to a senior level executive, and will exhibit the potential to assume increasing levels of responsibility in the future.* **Relationship builder** – must have the ability to pull people together and to rally the organization around common goals and common culture.* **Foster the organizational values of Empowerment, Innovation and Integrity through example**.* Experience in working internationally or exposure to working with an internationally based parent company.* Frequent travel is necessary.Requirements for this position will include a proven broad-based leadership experience in a performance driven and dynamic organization.
