This role requires

hands-on dashboard development expertise from day one . The ideal candidate has owned BI dashboards end-to-end — from raw dataset modeling through visualization, publishing, optimization, and stakeholder delivery — with minimal technical oversight.

Strong Excel skills are expected; however,

Tableau and Power BI dashboard ownership are the primary success metrics for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Independently build, publish, and maintain Tableau and Power BI dashboards providing real-time visibility into:

Loan performance, aging, draw utilization, construction timelines

Portfolio concentration, geographic exposure, and pipeline risk

Translate SQL datasets into optimized Tableau and Power BI data models, including joins, calculated fields/measures, parameters, filters, and performance optimization.

Own the full dashboard lifecycle: requirements intake, development, validation, publishing, performance tuning, documentation, and ongoing enhancements.

Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly executive reporting packages directly from BI dashboards.

Partner closely with the Technology team to validate data integrity and evolve reporting datasets.

Support Capital Markets with loan pool analysis, securitization reporting, and investor deliverables.

Conduct portfolio surveillance and trend analysis across payment behavior, extensions, cost overruns, and borrower risk patterns.

Support stress testing and scenario modeling, assessing portfolio cash-flow impacts and risk-adjusted performance.

Clean, normalize, and validate datasets from multiple systems (LOS, servicing platforms, draw tools) to maintain a trusted reporting layer.

Collaborate with Asset Management, Marketing, Underwriting, and Executive Leadership to support operational and strategic reporting needs.

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

3+ years of hands-on Tableau Desktop experience building dashboards from scratch (not just viewing or light editing).

Hands-on Power BI experience building production dashboards and data models.

Demonstrated ability to independently create:

Calculated fields/measures, parameters, filters, and sets

Multi-table joins and data modeling

Experience publishing and maintaining dashboards in Tableau Server / Cloud and Power BI Service.

Strong SQL proficiency for dataset validation and analysis.

Ability to translate raw financial datasets into clear executive dashboards with minimal direction.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate prior Tableau and/or Power BI dashboard ownership during the interview process.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in real estate lending, construction lending, private credit, fintech, or financial services analytics.

Familiarity with Fix-and-Flip and Ground-Up Construction loan structures.

Experience supporting capital markets, securitization, investor reporting, or loan sales analytics.

Experience with dashboard performance tuning, data governance, and metric standardization.

Exposure to imperfect or evolving production datasets.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.

3–7 years of analytics, BI, or reporting experience with direct dashboard ownership responsibility.

Experience with LOS / servicing platforms is a plus.
