10 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace APM (SaaS or Managed environment). Strong understanding of observability pillars: metrics, logs, traces, events. Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and/or Kubernetes. Experience configuring dashboards, alerts, tagging rules, management zones, and dashboards. Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, APIs, and application performance concepts. Proficiency with automation/scripting tools (Python, Bash, PowerShell, YAML). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab). Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Dynatrace Certifications (Associate, Professional, or extensions in APM, Cloud, Kubernetes). Experience with Monaco, Dynatrace Grail, Logs, or OpenTelemetry. Exposure to SRE practices, chaos engineering, or performance engineering. Background integrating Dynatrace with tools such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Slack/Teams. Knowledge of network monitoring and synthetic testing. Roles & Responsibilities
Dynatrace Platform Ownership: Administer and maintain the Dynatrace platform, including upgrades, configurations, integrations, and governance. Deploy and manage OneAgents and ActiveGates across cloud, on‑premise, and containerized environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift). Build and manage dashboards, alerts, SLOs, custom events, tagging rules, and management zones. Observability APM Engineering: Implement end-to-end monitoring for applications, APIs, infrastructure, logs, and user experience. Configure distributed tracing, service flow mapping, synthetic monitoring, and RUM. Develop automated instrumentation strategies for microservices, serverless functions, and container workloads. Performance Reliability Engineering: Analyze application performance, latency, bottlenecks, and error trends using Davis AI insights. Partner with application teams to drive performance tuning and root-cause remediation. Define SLOs/SLIs aligned with business KPIs and reliability objectives. Integrations & Automation: Integrate Dynatrace with CI/CD pipelines, ITSM tools, logging platforms, and event management systems. Build automation scripts to streamline deployments and configuration. Support observability-as-code using Monaco or Terraform. Incident Management & Reporting: Provide observability insights during major incidents and post-incident reviews; deliver reports and analytics highlighting trends and system health; act as a SME for monitoring strategies and observability best practices. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving abilities; excellent communication skills; ability to interface with technical and business teams; adaptability to fast-paced environments; collaborative mindset to continuously improve systems. You will leverage Dynatrace’s APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, RUM, and Davis AI capabilities to ensure end-to-end visibility, system reliability, performance optimization, and proactive incident detection across our hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud environments. You will collaborate with application teams, SREs, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and business stakeholders to build scalable observability solutions that enable faster troubleshooting, improved customer experience, and data-driven decisions.
