A&M\'s Global Transaction Tax team is composed of seasoned tax professionals providing practical tax advice to corporate and private equity buyers and sellers throughout the transaction life cycle. The team uses a focused, tailored approach to rapidly identify deal breakers, value drivers, and other areas of interest to clients, leveraging cross-functional expertise in operating and financial topics. Experience spans across industries including healthcare, financial institutions, energy, environmental services, technology, and education. How You Will Contribute
Develop and deliver quality tax planning approaches by providing timely services and deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations. Perform due diligence, including review of tax returns, financials, and other documentation to evaluate potential tax risks and opportunities. Review and comment on tax aspects of financial models, purchase agreements, and structuring calculations. Take ownership of assigned workstreams, preserve relevant diligence work products, ensure timely supervisor review, and adapt to changes in workflow. Coordinate with federal, state and local, and international tax team members, as well as financial and operational due diligence teams, to deliver high-quality integrated work product. Begin developing and taking responsibility for managing client relationships by communicating with clients, gathering engagement data, and tailoring deliverables accordingly. Qualifications
Currently pursuing a JD, LLM (Taxation), Master of Science in Taxation or Master of Accounting with an emphasis in Tax. Pursuing (or intent to pursue) CPA or membership to a State Bar. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate complex information. Strong analytical skills. High proficiency in spreadsheets. Ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines. High motivation to learn and grow. No prior years of experience or restructuring experience required. Your journey at A&M

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverages, and a 401(k) plan. An annual discretionary contribution to the 401(k) is available, subject to eligibility. Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, sick time, federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave; vacation and personal days vary by tenure and role.
