Role Summary
You will be responsible for underwriting large commercial Builder’s Risk. Communication and negotiations will be an essential part of the day to day functions. Role Accountabilities
Technical risk assessment, pricing, and deal structure. Skilful, decisive, and selective underwriting. Building and maintaining a profitable portfolio of accounts. Developing creative solutions unique to customers’ needs while safeguarding our carrier partners’ bottom line. Marketing to approved Retail Brokers. Coordinating Loss Prevention/ Risk Engineering services both internally and with our vendor partners Compliance with all internal and external guidelines and legal requirements. New business acquisition and servicing of existing customers. Work collaboratively with a team of underwriters and underwriter assistants. Role Requirements
Minimum position requirements include a four-year college degree or the equivalent in relevant industry experience. Completion of insurance industry specific courses/licenses. 3+ Years of Builder’s Risk or Property Underwriting Experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as sales and marketing abilities. Effectively communicate and negotiate with senior personnel, brokers, and clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills (MS Office) are critical for the success of this position. Skills and Abilities
