Responsibilities
Perform moderately complex actuarial work for ratemaking, reserving, and modeling Collaborate with team members to ensure rate and reserve levels are appropriate and actuarially sound Conduct market research and analyze trends for potential impacts and opportunities Develop and maintain dynamic Excel templates and data solutions for various business lines Lead small to moderately sized special projects and participate in larger initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, math, or statistics Two years of actuarial experience; relevant internship experience will be considered Completion of VEEs and at least two actuarial exams Strong knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and financial mathematics Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as SQL Experience in Pricing or Reserving in at least two lines of business Ability to effectively lead a team Familiarity with P&C organization structure, including claims and underwriting processes Strong analytical, investigation, and problem-solving abilities
