THE JOB US Concerts is seeking a Venue Sustainability Manager to support and enhance our sustainability initiatives. This role will play a key part in implementing and executing sustainability programs at our venue, working closely with various departments to promote waste reduction, environmental awareness, and employee engagement. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and working in collaboration with Live Nation’s National Sustainability Team, this position is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability and eager to make an impact in the live entertainment industry. This is a seasonal, part-time, events-based position (approximately May–November). WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO Training & Engagement

Participate in pre-season orientation with Live Nation’s National Sustainability Team

Assist in leading sustainability training sessions for venue staff

Share critical sustainability information with venue teams during pre-shift meetings

Work closely with concessions, backstage/production, and maintenance to integrate sustainability practices into daily operations

Partner with the Marketing Lead to promote sustainability efforts through social media and venue communications

Collaborate with the Experience Manager to recognize and reward employees contributing to zero waste initiatives

Continuously seek new ways to inspire enthusiasm and participation in sustainability programs

Provide regular updates to venue staff on progress, employee recognition, and areas for improvement

Zero Waste Planning & Execution

Oversee and assist with post-show sorting of recycling, composting, and landfill materials

Work with venue leadership to develop and refine a comprehensive zero waste plan

Be present on event days to ensure compliance with sustainability goals and maintain quality control

Utilize an event day checklist to assess venue readiness and make necessary adjustments

Identify opportunities to enhance waste diversion efforts throughout the season

Reporting & Data Collection

Utilize Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Box to track key sustainability metrics

Compile and present data in engaging venue reports for internal use

Complete venue audit assessments to evaluate sustainability performance

Participate in weekly progress meetings with the National Sustainability Team and Venue Management Team

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING Required:

Ability to walk, bend, lift, and carry 50+ pounds for extended periods (90% of the time on show days)

Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in event operations, guest services, event coordination, or sustainability/zero waste programs

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams

Strong time management skills in a fast-paced, unstructured environment

Preferred:

Experience working in live events, concerts, or large-scale venues

Knowledge of zero waste initiatives and sustainability best practices

Employees may be exposed to flashing or strobing lights on site.
