Director of Wellness and Safety. Job Category: Administrative Services. Requisition Number: DIREC004535. Full-Time On-site. Salary: $88,000–$93,000 per year. Location: Easthampton, MA 01027, USA. Lathrop Community, a Kendal affiliate, is seeking an allied health professional (RN, OT, PT, LSW, SLP) or a related field to join our team as the Director of Wellness and Safety (DWS). The DWS is responsible for overseeing and managing Lathrop’s wellness department, safety, and risk management to continuously improve resident community life and the quality of Enhanced Services and support. The DWS will help develop the wellness vision and its implementation so that all residents may thrive spiritually, socially, intellectually, as well as physically. The DWS will seek to maximize a resident’s level of independence, function, and engagement while aging in community. The DWS will oversee Lathrop wellness support staff in accordance with Lathrop policy and core values and will maintain a professional relationship with stakeholders. Responsibilities
Supervision of the wellness program, risk management, compliance programs, continuous quality improvement, partnership and collaboration with internal and external partners. Providing education and training, attending conferences, engaging in continuous professional development, and representing Lathrop at professional meetings, networking opportunities, and community organization meetings. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health (RN, OT, PT, LSW, SLP) or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience. Experience in case management or related field with the older adult population, including demonstrated skills in assessment, planning, and evaluating support plans. Ability to organize and maintain electronic files including use of Office365 Suite and other tools. Demonstrated leadership/supervisory background. Skills in quality assurance, safety, and compliance in a residential or healthcare setting. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to obtaining CPASRM certification within the first 90 days of employment. A strong commitment to quality care and service and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of older adults. A valid Massachusetts driver’s license with motor vehicle record clearance and criminal history clearance. Motivations & Benefits
