As a Junior Web Designer, you will support the Creative Director and Senior Graphic Design Coordinator in designing, building, and maintaining corporate and project websites, primarily using Wix (Classic editor & Studio).
This is a creative, detail-oriented position ideal for someone with strong design instincts, experience with modern web platforms, and an understanding of the full web development lifecycle, even if not coding daily. You’ll collaborate closely with team members across Marketing and Engineering to ensure all digital content is cohesive, visually consistent, and aligned with company standards.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
Meet with potential clients and corporate contacts to assess design needs, gather requirements, and help define project scope
Design, build, and update websites using Wix and occasionally WordPress, other CMS tools, and Figma
Create, test, and refine responsive designs to ensure high-quality experiences across desktop and mobile devices
Implement and apply SEO best practices to corporate and project websites, blogs, and landing pages
Maintain and update web content including imagery, text, documents, and brand elements
Source, optimize, curate stock photos and branded visuals
Assist in creating logos and branding packages and graphics for use on social media or proposal materials
Participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback, and uphold quality control across all web assets
Coordinate with marketing and technical teams to meet deadlines and follow project workflows
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
3 – 4 years of experience in web design or digital content design (Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, WordPress, or other platforms)
Someone with a strong online portfolio showcasing work samples, especially websites or layouts built in Wix or similar platforms
Solid understanding of the web design process (concept, design, build, QA, launch)
Working knowledge of responsive design principles, accessibility basics, and current design trends
Experience with SEO fundamentals and keyword application
A working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript and/or Wix’s Velo code is helpful, but not required for daily work
Intermediate to expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) - working Figma knowledge is a plus, but not required
Strong grasp of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Able to follow instructions, accept feedback, and maintain strong attention to detail
Responsible, organized, and accountable for deadlines
Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
