The Electrical & Instrumentation Designer will be responsible for performing complex drafting and design work for compressor stations, meter stations, and mainline valve sites in the oil & gas industry. This position supports Engineering and Operations with a focus on Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) deliverables. What will you do? As an Electrical & Instrumentation Designer, you will: Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD and CADWorx Plant/P&ID. Perform independent design assignments for E&I systems, including Electrical Plans, Loop Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, and MCC Schematics. Develop instrumentation and electrical drawings for Compressor Stations, Meter Stations, and Mainline Valve Sites. Support documentation for PLC systems, Grounding Plans, Electrical Classification Area Plans (EAC), and Conduit/Cable Schedules. Review and verify drawings to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to meet design needs. Contribute to Facility Data Management Programs by keeping drawings and documentation current and accurate. What are the requirements? Associate of Applied Science degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent work experience. 6-8 years of drafting experience, including 3+ years of independent design work. Minimum 6 years of design and drafting experience within the gas and oil industry. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and CADWorx Plant/P&ID. Experience creating Schematic Ladder Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, and Electrical One Line Diagrams. Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, NEC, ISA, NFPA, etc.). Outgoing personality with some leadership experience.
