Overview POSITION OVERVIEW

Global Atlantic Financial Company (a subsidiary of Global Atlantic Financial Group Limited) is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Actuarial Analyst in Brighton, MA. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

Calculate US Statutory, Tax, US GAAP reserves, and other related actuarial balances.

Provide analysis, including sensitivities, for both statutory and GAAP balances and earnings impacts.

Maintain and improve various controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

Work with cross functional areas (Pricing, IT, Modeling, Data) to onboard new deals to existing valuation and modeling platforms.

Conduct annual impact testing for assumption changes.

Work with the Modeling team related to modeling updates and data improvements.

Support audit and regulatory requests, and annual asset adequacy testing.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field is required, plus three (3) years of experience as an actuarial analyst or related role. Completed 5 exams towards becoming an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).

Three (3) years of experience must include:

Maintaining and enhancing control mechanisms.

Business analytics and the use of Microsoft Excel for the development of tools that facilitate the interpretation of actuarial model results in a clear and accessible manner.

Two (2) years of experience must include:

Product knowledge of Life or Annuity, including the knowledge of US Stat and GAAP Valuation.

Data management and processing software skills, such as SAS, SQL, or Python.

Ability to conduct impact assessments for modifications in key assumptions and updates to models to verify the accuracy of actuarial model calculations.

The expected annual base salary for this Brighton, Massachusetts, United States-based position is $102,000-$146,000. Global Atlantic is an equal opportunity employer, does not discriminate in employment on any basis that is prohibited by federal, state or local laws.
