
Overview
The Channel Management Coordinator will support the YouTube Channel Management Team with the day-to-day operations and audience growth efforts across The Kids & Family Digital Studios’ YouTube Channels (including Nick Jr., Nickelodeon, SpongeBob SquarePants, Nicktoons, and more). This coordinator is expected to become an expert on YouTube/social video best practices and Nickelodeon’s digital content/IP.
We are looking for an individual with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for spotting errors, and a proven track record of managing a number of projects simultaneously. They will support the Nickelodeon growth strategy on YouTube by optimizing content libraries, gathering assets, maintaining publishing tools, supporting learning agenda execution, performance reporting, and other special projects. They should be highly collaborative and able to coordinate closely with all programming calendars, creative teams, audience development teams, analytics, and our YouTube partners.
Responsibilities
Support a team of Channel Operations Managers in efforts to maximize video performance, grow audiences, and utilize new/experimental platform tools
Assist in developing and implementing channel optimization strategies to increase views, watch-time, and revenue
Maintain master publishing schedules using project management tools (including AirTable and Google Docs Editors)
Upload and publish a high volume of content (videos, live streams, and more) directly to the YouTube platform. Work closely with Channel Operations Managers to optimize content, such as titles, tags, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists, etc.
Support monetization efforts across channels and collaborate with paid media team to assist with ongoing campaigns
Create monthly insight reports on season wrap-ups, tentpole events, community engagement efforts, live stream performance, and A/B testing
Occasionally write metadata copy (titles, tags, descriptions, etc.) for videos, YouTube Shorts, and live streams
Update team on progress/status/issues/troubleshooting on a weekly basis
Assist with training and onboarding internal teams with new project management and publishing processes
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and platform changes
Occasional video editing and graphic design
The role may require nighttime or weekend support
May perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
1-2+ years of experience working in Digital Media for a content publisher or agency (internships included)
Past experience writing social media copy, video titles and descriptions
Familiarity with social media community engagement tools
Previous experience using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop
Experience using YouTube’s Creator Studio or Content ID back-end tools
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for youth-oriented media, YouTube and the social video space
Experience building presentation decks
Proficient written and oral communication skills, with high proficiency in English copy
Ability to multitask, problem-solve and operate autonomously in a dynamic environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
Possess an optimistic can-do attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset
