offices. We will consider other locations within our Midwest and Southeast regions. Be involved in projects with our Heritage and Cultural Resources practice, as part of our Earth and Environment Team, and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. This is an on-call, hourly position. Hourly rates are industry competitive, depending on North American CRM experience and regional archaeological experience). Your Impact

Assist in supervising fieldwork on Phase I, II, and III projects, with specific tasks including:

archaeological test unit and shovel test excavation excavation of cultural features recovery and identification of archaeological artifacts and other materials use archaeological field forms to record archaeological data, including type and number of artifacts, oil color (Munsell) and soil textures, and other relevant information

Document findings through detailed note taking Ability to assist/lead other field team members Familiarity with GPS technology is preferred Work effectively as part of a team Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Strictly abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Who You Are

Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree in anthropology / archaeology or a closely related field Archaeological field school or similar archaeological field experience At least six (6) months supervisory field experience in North American CRM archaeology Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated, physically able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions, and be able to follow instructions Additional Information: Single occupancy hotel rooms for the duration of the projects and paid directly by WSP Flat-rate meal reimbursement, unless otherwise noted for specific projects Transportation on workdays from hotel to work site provided by WSP, and workday begins and ends in hotel parking lot Opportunities for full-time employment and advancement WSP benefits package includes modified holiday pay, paid time off accrual, and 401(k) plan Relocation assistance is not available for this position To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
