JCW Group is representing a growing regional bank as they're seeking a Vice President, Credit Portfolio Manager to support and expand its Healthcare Lending platform. This role offers a balanced mix of credit underwriting and portfolio management, with meaningful exposure to relationship teams and healthcare borrowers across the tri-state area. The Credit Portfolio Manager will be responsible for underwriting new healthcare transactions, managing an existing loan portfolio, and partnering closely with relationship managers to support portfolio growth while maintaining strong credit discipline. This is a hands-on role for a credit professional who enjoys both analytical rigor and ongoing client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Underwrite new and existing healthcare lending transactions, including credit analysis, financial spreading, and risk assessment. Manage and monitor a portfolio of healthcare clients, ensuring credit quality, covenant compliance, and timely reviews. Prepare clear, concise credit memoranda outlining risks, mitigants, and recommendations for approval committees. Partner closely with lending officers to support deal structuring, renewals, and ongoing client needs. Communicate directly with healthcare borrowers on financial performance, reporting, and portfolio matters. Contribute to portfolio strategy as the bank continues to expand its healthcare lending footprint. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years of experience in credit underwriting and/or portfolio management within a banking environment. Strong experience with financial analysis, spreading, and credit documentation. Healthcare lending experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present credit views clearly and confidently.
