Job Summary Your Career: The Solutions Consultant is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, aligning how we best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks. You provide technical leadership and guidance in the customer’s security transformation journey. You will define technical solutions that secure key business imperatives and ensure value realization with Palo Alto Networks. You evangelize our leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security operations services to establish PANW as your customer’s cybersecurity partner of choice. Your impact is measured by:

Meeting and exceeding sales quotas by building and implementing strategic, technical account plans targeting cross-platform solutions.

Understanding key customer business requirements and positioning, demonstrating, and creating high-level designs across the PANW portfolio to create business value.

Driving customer adoption of the Palo Alto Networks Platform.

Building customer relationships to increase productivity, operational efficiency, security efficacy, and flexibility to innovate.

Conducting discovery to understand and articulate key technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of prospects and customers.

Collaborating with Professional Services, Customer Success and Specialist teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.

Communicating effectively through presentations and customer-specific demos; leading technical engagements and workshops.

Leading technical validation efforts to ensure a technical win in assigned opportunities.

Demonstrating cross-functional leadership to coordinate resources and ensure a cohesive strategy.

Promoting end-to-end solutions that include PANW and partner professional services to realize business value sooner.

Understanding the competitive landscape and differentiating PANW’s leadership in cybersecurity.

Investing in technical and professional skills and participating in the Solutions Consultant community and industry events.

Identifying technical stakeholders and cultivating relationships to build a security architecture transformation roadmap.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery with customers to understand technical, operational, and commercial imperatives.

Collaborate with sales to develop and present technical designs and demonstrations that align with customer needs.

Participate in technical engagements, workshops, and validation activities.

Coordinate with specialists, channel resources, and customer support to enable a one-team approach.

Provide guidance across PANW portfolio including networking, cloud security, SASE, CNAPP, and related solutions.

Qualifications Your Experience

6+ years of experience in pre-sales/sales engineering.

Experience in networking, network security, cybersecurity, private/public cloud security, SOC/endpoint or SASE.

Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that address technical challenges and influence business initiatives is preferred.

Ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders; prior pre-sales experience is ideal.

Experience creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements.

Experience in selling, designing, implementing, or managing one or more of: Network Security, SASE, SaaS, CNAPP and/or SOC Transformation Technologies.

Partnering with Customer Support to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions.

Experience in complex sales with long cycles and multiple buying centers; multi-product solutions are preferred.

This is a field sales position with possible travel for in-person meetings; discuss specifics with the recruiter.

Proficient in English.

Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, and location. For offers at the posted level, base salary or base salary + commission target is expected to align with the annual range shown. The offer may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. $208,000.00 - $286,000.00/yr
