Summary of Job: The Director, Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is a field-based, customer-facing role focused on leading a field-based TLL team. This role develops enduring relationships with current and emerging key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the U.S. dermatology and immunology community. The Director will ensure collaboration across internal and external functions (e.g., Regional Sales Directors, home office, HCPs, Mid-levels/Community Practices) and will be a critical member of the Rocatinlimab brand marketing team, working with field professionals including Field Sales, RSMs, and MSLs, in adherence to approved SOPs. The Director will work with home office colleagues in Marketing, Advocacy, Medical Affairs, Sales, and Market Access and implement a National Peer to Peer Strategy and Engagement plan in partnership with the Brand Team and cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Identify and establish engagement opportunities with product advocates and regional/national influencers to educate and provide solutions for patients.
- Monitor KOL treatment patterns via sales data, publications, and presentations; syndicate insights with appropriate colleagues and assist in developing education and other commercial activities.
- Identify and develop regional and national KOLs across Dermatology and Immunology markets.
- Establish Kyowa Kirin as a leader in the US Dermatology space; uncover gaps/needs in patient care and HCP knowledge/operations.
- Monitor dermatology practice landscape and collaborate on strategy for emerging practice models and market trends.
- Serve as a conduit between Home Office and KOLs; work with marketing to develop engagement and promotional opportunities with identified HCPs.
- Obtain feedback from thought leaders for marketing strategies and provide field-based intelligence to internal stakeholders.
- Identify and develop KOLs for Speakers Programs and other commercial projects (theater events, webinars, print materials, video, training, podcasts, ad boards, etc.).
- Support advisory board activities and coordinate with sales to align with conference OL engagement plans.
- Provide customer and market insights to marketing; contribute to P2P development and advisory boards.
- Partner with HCP Marketing to develop advisory board strategy, content, and attendance as appropriate.
- Provide post-congress insights to the marketing team.
Scientific Congress Management
- Manage regional and national congresses as primary home office contact for budgeting, contracting, logistics, attendance, pull-through, and KOL meetings.
Center of Excellence (COE)
- Develop and implement COE engagement plans with cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate interaction of senior leadership with regional and national KOLs; support multidisciplinary team development with TLL.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science (or equivalent) required. Advanced Degree preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of marketing and/or sales experience within advanced biologics or specialty therapeutics; recent dermatology experience highly preferred.
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience across field sales leadership and/or product marketing; dermatology or immunology experience strongly preferred.
- Proven people leadership experience with a track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment toward shared objectives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work. Up to 60% domestic and international travel.
Willingness to attend customer meetings on weeknights and weekends 30% of the time. Role will cover the United States; located near a hub airport is recommended.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary for this position will be $230,000 to $270,000. Actual salary offered may vary based on experience, skill set, qualifications, education, location, and business needs. The compensation and benefits information applies to candidates hired in the United States.
