This attorney helps manage and oversee legal matters related to AvalonBay’s real estate and real estate investment activities, with a particular focus on acquisitions, dispositions, developments, redevelopments, joint ventures, structured investments, and other complex development and investment vehicles. At least 8+ (ideally more than 8) years of broad-based commercial real estate transactional experience obtained at a prominent law firm or sophisticated corporate legal department. Location/Relocation
Arlington, VA. This is an in-office role requiring four days per week onsite, and local candidates are preferred. Bar
Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with an ability to obtain a corporate counsel license to practice in Virginia within the first year of employment.
