Statistical Programming Director , providing strategic programming leadership within CVRM Biometrics and collaborating with global product development teams. This role is based at AstraZeneca’s R&D strategic site in Gothenburg (Sweden), within an international environment at the forefront of clinical development. We offer flexibility to balance personal and work commitments while maintaining collaboration and teamwork, including in-office presence when needed. The Gaithersburg office is used for collaboration three days a week where teams can strategize, brainstorm and connect on key projects. Accountabilities As a Statistical Programming Director, you are accountable for quality, timely and efficient delivery of project programming work and information management. This is a strategic leadership role with project and technical focus where you will provide subject matter expertise within the statistical programming discipline, oversee data delivery to industry standards, deliver efficient and high-quality statistical analyses for interpretation and reporting, and plan and execute submission strategies. You will collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver continuous improvement, innovation, and automation solutions. Essential Skills/Experience Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (e.g., Applied Math, Engineering), Statistics, Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent experience Minimum 7 years of experience with advanced knowledge of the clinical development process and industry standards Demonstrated programming leadership capability with ability to develop teams and individuals toward a common goal Demonstrated influencing, planning and organizational skills Ability to provide input to functional strategies Expertise in risk management in complicated or novel situations Current knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements relevant to the role Desirable Skills/Experience Broad experience, ideally across multiple therapeutic areas and outside of Statistical Programming Experience in regulatory submissions and interactions Demonstrated experience designing and implementing business processes Willingness and ability to travel Compensation and Benefits The annual base pay range for this position is 168,830.4 to 253,245.6 USD. Positions offer eligibility for incentives, including short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles, and commissions for sales roles. Benefits include retirement programs, paid time off (vacation, holiday, and leaves), and health, dental, and vision coverage, in accordance with applicable plans.
