Marketing Events Specialist

Fenwick is seeking a Marketing Events Specialist who will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating a wide range of internal and external events, including branded programs, webinars, CLEs, sponsorships, client engagement events, and retreats. This role plays a key part in advancing the firm's strategic initiativessuch as diversity, alumni relations, and business developmentby delivering high-impact, well-executed events that elevate the firm's brand and foster meaningful connections. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, FLEX by Fenwick, Recruiting, Diversity & Inclusion, and others, the Events Specialist supports firmwide goals around business development, talent recruitment, and client engagement. This position can be based in our Silicon Valley (CA), San Francisco (CA), Santa Monica (CA), or Seattle (WA) office locations and offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work both from home and at your designated Fenwick office. The frequency of in-office work will be determined by business needs and guided by your department's directives. Event Planning & Execution

Lead and support event planning from concept to completion: invitation strategy, promotion, vendor coordination, logistics, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up. Collaborate with BD on guest list strategy, event content, and ROI analysis. Ensure events are delivered on time, on brand, and within budget. Innovate and refine existing programs; propose new event strategies to enhance engagement and streamline processes. Track and report on metrics to measure success and improve outcomes. Client Engagement

Partner with attorneys and BD to plan client appreciation and relationship-building events. Support budget tracking, ROI reporting, and strategic alignment for client-hosted events, such as sporting events, client dinners, and VIP experiences. Team & Budget Management

Support Events Manager with budget oversight, including invoice processing and vendor management. Participate in team-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned. Desired Skills & Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and collaborating with senior leaders. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure. Proven track record in vendor negotiation and contract management. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with marketing/event platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, Splash, ClickUp and event management tools. Collaborative mindset with a client-service orientation. Proactive, solution-oriented, and highly organized. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Strong judgment, professionalism, and sense of discretion. Willingness to travel and support evening/weekend events as needed. Reporting to the Events Manager, the qualified candidate will have 5+ years of event planning or marketing experience in a fast-paced professional services environment, law firm experience a plus. Bachelor's degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred). Benefits and Compensation Details:

The anticipated range for this position is: $84,000 - $120,000 Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance.
