We are seeking an Admissions Representative to join our team. This is a HYBRID position with some work on campus and some remote work.
Responsibilities Under direct supervision, recruit qualified students for the college’s academic programs in a compliant, professional manner. Provide basic information, routine guidance and assistance to potential students on matters related to enrollment and the admissions process.
Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, and ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Unitek College, and/or relevant regulatory agencies.
Uphold enrollment standards by complying with governmental regulations and accreditation standards, enrolling only students who meet eligibility requirements as published in the college’s catalog.
Demonstrate positive attitude and motivation, concern for students, teamwork, time management, and a work ethic that follows through on commitments.
Use company approved Admissions materials during telephone calls, interviews and the enrollment process.
Observe and adhere to all company policies and best practices, exercising judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
Building Relationships Take inquiry calls from potential students and provide information about programs, entrance requirements, curricula, and academic standards; encourage qualified prospects to schedule an interview.
Respond promptly to web inquiries and calls with accurate program information.
Make outbound calls to potential students; outbound efforts are a key component of this role.
Participate in organized phone-a-thons and dialing campaigns according to company best practices.
Initiate unsolicited leads and generate new business when not responding to inquiries or working with prospective students.
Follow up on inquiries that do not schedule or show for an interview and on interviews that did not progress in the enrollment process to address concerns.
Interviews Schedule and conduct student interviews; ensure Financial Aid references comply with Company Policy.
Use only approved company materials during the interview process and adhere to stated policies and processes.
Explain program offerings and align the college’s benefits to the student’s needs; advise suitable programs based on desires, qualifications and objectives.
Ensure admissions management is informed about the student’s motivations and concerns.
Mentoring and Guidance Provide basic information and routine guidance to students using established procedures and policies on available programs and eligibility.
Serve as a liaison between student and campus; assist with enrollment forms, application review for compliance, and coordination with Finance to ensure high levels of customer service during the transition; follow up to ensure financial aid packaging is complete.
Mentor and advise students to help identify their unique skills and interests.
Address easily-resolved inquiries or issues, and refer more difficult issues to a more experienced staff member while ensuring appropriate action.
Administrative Accurately account for all inquiries and admissions activity.
Complete daily activity reports and ensure pre-start paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
Keep all required reports current and accurate, including information stored in the system.
Attend and successfully complete all required training.
Perform other duties as assigned by local leaders and attend meetings as directed by supervisor.
Pay Range
50k - 70k depending on for-profit enrollment experience.
Qualifications Minimum 2 years of customer service, telemarketing or sales experience (including admissions experience).
Demonstrated ability to fulfill Company Key Behaviors.
Excellent presentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary to complete the job on a weekly basis.
