Axos Bank Target Range: $18.00/Hr. - $29.00/Hr. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education. Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%. Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%. Axos is seeking a Jr. Underwriter who will ensure thorough and accurate analysis of loan applications and all related documentation to clear outstanding underwriting conditions in accordance with Axos lending policies and procedures while providing superior service to both internal and external customers; monitors loans in process to ensure timely completion and effective communications to all parties involved. Responsibilities

Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Axos’ lending policies, procedures, underwriting guidelines, loan-to-value published parameters, and requirements for packaging of loans Examine loan application packages and trailing documentation submitted by Sales and Operations for completeness, conformity and acceptability to Axos lending policies and guidelines. Determine if additional documentation is required to complete the underwriting process and clear loan to close Analyzing applicant income, assets, liabilities, credit and other factors. Reviewing collateral documentation and appraisals Adhering to all applicable compliance regulations, including BSA, BPA and Right to Financial Privacy Demonstrates a commitment to fair lending Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of experience in residential lending Knowledge of appropriate systems PC Lender/Mortgage Director is a plus Ability to retain confidential information and display a high level of professionalism Provide timely and courteous service to both internal and external customers Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms Ability to perform correct mathematical calculations and analyses Ability to organize and prioritize tasks; manage workflow; multi-tasking is essential Ability to work as a team player; work productively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Knowledgeable of lending practices and procedures including loan documentation requirements Familiarity with general lending practices within the industry.
