Overview

The Grants and Revenue Specialist supports the Police Department’s fiscal operations by managing grant financial processes, revenue tracking, compliance documentation, and reporting activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring that grant-funded programs remain audit-ready and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting departmental financial decision-making. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare expenditure summaries, reimbursement logs, burn-rate reports, and other grant financial reports. Maintain complete and auditable grant files, including expenditure documentation, reimbursement packets, and correspondence. Assist with grant forecasting, funding calendars, and budget revisions. Provide financial data and revenue-related information for City Council agenda items and departmental reporting. Process and reconcile revenue deposits and maintain supporting financial documentation. Ensure transactions are properly coded with required financial tags (grant, program, funding source, project). Respond to audit requests from Finance, OMB, state, and federal agencies by compiling required documentation. Assist management with compliance monitoring related to federal and state grant requirements, including 2 CFR 200 guidelines. Perform related duties as assigned.
