Morton is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Performance Analyst to join our client’s team. This role will focus on evaluating underperforming locations to identify the root cause of financial inefficiencies and operational challenges. The ideal candidate will leverage forensic accounting techniques and financial analysis to provide actionable insights that drive profitability and operational excellence. Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth financial reviews of underperforming locations to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Analyze revenue allocation processes to ensure accuracy and fairness across locations. Evaluate cost control measures and recommend strategies to reduce unnecessary expenses. Assess labor efficiency, staffing models, and productivity metrics to optimize workforce utilization. Investigate anomalies in financial statements, transactions, and operational reports to detect potential fraud, mismanagement, or systemic issues. Collaborate with branch manager and cross-functional teams to gather data and validate findings. Prepare detailed reports outlining root causes, financial impact, and recommended corrective actions. Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor ongoing performance improvements. Ensure compliance with internal policies. Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in financial analysis, performance management, audit or similar roles Strong understanding of revenue recognition, cost accounting, and labor efficiency metrics Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling Exceptional analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both financial and nonfinancial stakeholders High attention to detail Preferred Skills
Experience in multilocation business environments Knowledge of industry-specific cost structures and operational benchmarks Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
