About the role
This position serves as the primary point of responsibility and accountability for pricing products sold throughout Trek\'s Rest of World business (ROW). Improvement and governance of the quality of the pricing is key to our ongoing efforts to become the best bike supplier in the industry. The candidate will report to the ROW Forecasting Director but will also engage with business leadership across the business to make sure we have competitive pricing delivered to the business in a timely and efficient manner. The candidate will need to be able to assess the current state of data quality, establish targets for data quality improvement and identify optimal approaches for resolving data quality issues to achieve targets. The goal of this position is to support achieving revenue and profitability goals, reduce business costs, and increase efficiencies efforts by assuring product pricing issues are minimized. Key responsibilities
Develop and implement pricing strategies for bikes, parts and accessories. Set prices that maximize profit and customer satisfaction through all sales channels (wholesale, retail, B2C) across multiple markets. Use data to set current & future pricing of products across the ROW business. Data quality audits/validation. Generate/propose solutions which improve data value and governance, and enhance the use of system capabilities. Owner of change that drives process standardization. Work cross-functionally with product, sales and finance teams globally. Develop metrics and daily work systems to assure quality of data, and completeness of data. Optimize product lifecycle pricing (launch to clearance). Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, customer behaviour, and other relevant data to make data-driven pricing decisions. Position requirements
Experience in master data management, content management, or related field. Self-motivated and driven: Willingness to take on more and get involved as needed. Experience working with high volume, detailed data in a high accuracy environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel skills and experience with pricing analytical tools, ERP systems (e.g. JD Edwards) and business intelligence software (e.g. Power BI, SQL).
