The Role

SoFi is seeking an Analyst to join our Investor Services vertical within the Capital Markets team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across structured finance, asset-backed securities and loan sale transactions that support SoFi’s Capital Market programs. The Analyst will play a critical line of defense in ensuring our financial operations remain compliant, transparent, and resilient. You will bridge the gap between complex financial regulations and operational execution, overseeing the lifecycle of regulator and investor reviews. This position is ideal for a motivated professional who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to develop a deep understanding of structured finance and risk strategy within a fast-growing fintech platform.

Responsibilities

Knowledge of finance regulations and the evolving financial landscape. Proven ability to synthesize complex data sets into clear, actionable risk reports with attention to detail.

Perform a comprehensive internal self-audit program to proactively identify vulnerabilities before they reach external stakeholders.

Collaborate internally to produce a Risk Self-Assessments (RSA) that provide a transparent view of the department's risk profile.

In partnership with internal and external partners, remediations and implementing long-term structural controls

Support the investor services reporting by conducting research, organizing data, and preparing presentation materials for management review.

Ability to synthesize complex data sets into clear, actionable risk reports with meticulous attention to detail.

Monitor department-level and investor performance-level triggers/breaches, ensuring immediate escalation and resolution

Other ad hoc support as needed relating to whole loan sales, asset backed securitizations, new products, securities financing, unsecured lines of credit, and any other future financing initiatives of the company.

Qualifications

You have graduated and your highest level of education is only a Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or similar technical field (Spring 2025 / December 2025 New Grads or within 1 year of graduation)

You are available to start working immediately in February 2026

No more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles)

Experience with audit engagement planning, executing, and reporting

Excellent work ethic and eagerness to take ownership of projects and contribute to team goals

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with close attention to detail

Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information effectively

Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google suites (particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Sheets)

Self-starter mindset with intellectual curiosity and the drive to develop expertise in capital markets and investor services

Nice To Have

Knowledge of SQL, Snowflake and other modeling software

Demonstrated involvement in school clubs or prior internships

External audit, internal audit, or related experience working in a financial institution with knowledge of general and technology internal controls, risk management, and/or consumer regulatory compliance (FINRA, OCC, FRB, etc.)
