What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Conduct up to 25 farm calls per week to evaluate and recommend nutritional programs for dairy owners
Sell and consult on Purina products and programs to grow sales and market share
Organize and conduct educational meetings/events for local agricultural clubs and organizations
Provide accurate feeding and management recommendations based on industry knowledge
Network within the industry to foster business relationships and opportunities
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor\'s degree in Animal Science or a related agricultural field; candidates without a degree but with proven sales and industry experience may be considered
Basic ability to make nutritional and feeding recommendations for dairy
Understanding of animal husbandry, management practices, and nutritional guidelines
Strong computer skills, specifically in MS Office and willingness to learn software like HerdSmart and Salesforce
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Strong background and previous professional experience with dairy
Leadership experience in clubs or organizations related to the livestock industry
Previous sales experience in a related field
