
Overview
The Sales Account Manager (SAM) focuses on developing the relationships with new and existing customers while overseeing sales. Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction is critical to this role. Responsibilities
Strengthen and expand new and existing business relationships. Maintain customer contacts with the objective of developing long-term business relationships. As the primary customer contact, the SAM is responsible for conveying the customer’s information and actively participating in the development of quotations and program proposals. Meet with internal team members to develop Customer Proposal. Deliver proposal and gain customer commitment. Schedule and attend all meetings to ensure customer timeline is met. Resolve customer issues and identify product issues. Provide Sales reporting – including weekly, monthly, and annual projection reporting. Education, Skills, Training and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent Plastics and Engineering expertise with detailed knowledge of and injection molding processes, tool building, and/or customers Minimum of four years job related experience Proven history of successful sales in Plastics Manufacturing or related field. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects including consistently meeting or exceeding established profitability, scheduling and quality targets. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Personal Attributes
A proven team player that builds, strengthens, and maintains collaborative relationships with others. Effective oral and written communication skills, leadership and interpersonal skills. A demonstrated ability to interface with key client personnel with a customer service mindset. Strong attention to detail. Able to work independently under minimal supervision with a focus on meeting customer requirements in a timely manner.
