
Outside Sales Representative

The Outside Sales Representative sells Branded fueling programs to business and industrial establishments and maintains existing accounts. This role may also participate in occasional industry events and tradeshows, building a network of potential customers. The ideal candidate has a passion for meeting and exceeding sales targets and thrives on building new relationships and maintaining a professional network.

Use creativity to identify potential sales leads using various methods and sources.
Make cold calls to potential commercial fuel customers and maintain opportunities in companywide CRM.
Utilize market knowledge and understanding of prospect’s business to present fueling options and systems and emphasize key value-added features.
Follow the sales process from start to finish.
Communicate with various levels of management through a variety of presentation styles – in-person, phone or online.
Set realistic sales goals that align with business unit and company objectives.
Promote and partner with other product line sales representatives for cross-selling.
Perform special projects as needed.
Skills And Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience with business-to-business (B2B) sales, with transportation industry experience preferred.
Candidates with experience selling to commercial and industrial industries generally possess the knowledge and skills needed for this role.
Strong “hunter” mentality with experience selling to industrial or commercial businesses.
Exceptional people skills: an outgoing and persuasive personality is key to success.
Ability to understand customer’s business needs and translate them into recommendations that are presented both verbally and in writing to customers.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to regularly travel locally.
Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
The pay range for this position is $71,000 to $78,000
