Job Summary Execute plans, schedule, and expedite the visual inspection, labeling, and packaging of parenteral pharmaceutical and dermatological products to meet sales requirements in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

What You’ll Do

Directly oversee personnel through regular presence on the floor in manual visual inspection and packaging areas to optimize performance.

Manage all kit inspection, packaging, and labeling operations in accordance with production schedules and commercial forecasts.

Assign daily duties to team members to accomplish production goals effectively.

Ensure all staff training and qualifications for Visual Inspection are current.

Troubleshoot and resolve inspection, packaging, and equipment issues promptly.

Revise methods and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.

Utilize systems such as SAP, TrackWise, EDMS, and MasterControl.

Author and manage Deviations, Change Controls, CAPAs, and related documentation.

Maintain accurate in-process documentation and production records.

Ensure proper operation of inspection, labeling, and packaging equipment.

Plan and order supplies to meet production timelines.

Make recommendations for efficiency and cost improvements.

Work under minimal supervision using sound judgment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions

Office and controlled manufacturing areas.

Shop and shipping areas.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Visual acuity for inspecting small products and print (correctable to 20/20 vision).

Operate labeling machinery, printers, serialization, and heat-sealing equipment.

Use PPE (lab coat, hairnet, booties, gloves).

Travel

Up to 5%.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred OR equivalent visual inspection experience.

Experience:

6–8 years in pharmaceutical inspection/packaging (small volume parenteral experience required).

Supervisory or leadership experience required.

Experience with automated packaging equipment preferred.

Strong knowledge of cGMPs.

Excellent organizational and computer skills.

Ability to manage a large team and solve routine process problems.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $79,000 to $96,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on factors including geographical location and experience. This position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan and may be eligible for the Long Term Incentive Plan. Employees are eligible for Company benefit programs including medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings; flexible spending accounts; and an employee assistance program. Employees also receive paid time off benefits, including vacation and sick time.
