Position Summary:
As a Mortgage Loan Processing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting Mortgage Loan Officers by gathering, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of all required loan documentation. Your goal will be to guarantee complete files, coordinate timely loan closings, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Duties and Responsibilities: Review lender notes for special instructions or requirements. Perform a Pre-UW scrub of loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review initial loan disclosures. Disclose all new applications within the required 3 days. Validate borrower e-consent and document accordingly. Ensure compliance with Patriot Act requirements in every file. Verify electronic file documentation for thoroughness. Maintain documentation naming conventions in electronic storage. Prepare and send revised disclosures when necessary. Submit files for initial and final underwriting review. Send commitment letters, denials, and adverse action notices to borrowers. Lock loans with the investor as required. Complete all functions within the Loan Origination System (LOS). Request necessary third-party verifications (VOE, VOM, VOL) and update LOS. Order essential third-party services and ensure updates in LOS. Provide appraisal copies to borrowers and process payment invoices. Review underwriting approval conditions for finalization. Ensure hazard and flood insurance policies are compliant with guidelines. Resolve issues highlighted in title commitments or reports. Ensure compliance with all timing and delivery mandates. Communicate effectively with MLO and applicants as needed. Coordinate with title companies for seamless closings. Prepare and deliver preliminary closing disclosures (CD) promptly. Draft a disbursement worksheet to match the prelim CD. Review and prepare the final closing package for accuracy. Address all conditions required at closing as necessary. Process Plaza/TPO loans and manage closing and funding. Adhere to all bank policies and federal/state regulations. Maintain a consistent attendance record in alignment with bank standards. Perform other duties as required to fulfill the role. Qualifications: Education/Experience:
A minimum of two years of mortgage loan processing experience is required. Customer service experience in a financial institution is preferred. Skills and Abilities: Adaptability:
