The Role You will run in‑home consultations with homeowners, educate them on backup power and home energy solutions, and close deals from first appointment to signed contract. This role rewards people who can build trust quickly, handle objections confidently, and close on value—not pressure.
What You Will Be Doing
Run in‑home residential sales appointments with qualified homeowners
Sell Generac Home Standby Generators as the core offering
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross‑sell additional home services to increase total commission
Deliver confident, consultative presentations tailored to each homeowner
Handle objections, negotiate pricing, and close deals in the home
Own the full sales cycle from appointment through contract
Build strong relationships that drive referrals and repeat business
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth installs and happy customers
Who We Are Looking For
Proven experience in in‑home residential sales (roofing, HVAC, solar, windows, home improvement, etc.)
A track record of closing deals and earning commission‑based income
Comfortable being fully accountable for results
Competitive, self‑motivated, and driven to earn more
Strong communication skills and the ability to read the room
Disciplined and independent—this role offers freedom, not hand‑holding
Requirements
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
HIS License required (can be obtained after hire)
Nice To Have (Not Required)
Generator or solar sales experience
Knowledge of Generac Home Standby Generators
Plumbing or electrical background
Familiarity with building codes and AHJ requirements
