Summary
Join our team as a Customer Service Representative and ensure exceptional service to our valued customers. You will play a vital role in greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, completing transactions, and providing answers to product-related inquiries. Additional responsibilities include unloading merchandise, processing freight, restocking shelves, and maintaining store organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment for customers.
Assist in unloading merchandise from delivery trucks and manage the stockroom inventory.
Independently restock shelves and recover merchandise to enhance the shopping experience.
Accurately handle customer transactions using the POS system.
Stay vigilant of store activity to uphold a safe shopping atmosphere.
Perform various other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the store.
Position Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Capability to follow instructions and understand retail operational documents. Experience:
Retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drugstore experience is preferred. Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 55 lbs; must manage frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive lifting according to the demands of the job. Availability:
Flexible schedule required, encompassing days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills and Competencies:
Customer-focused, results-driven, strong organizational and communication skills, problem-solving ability, job knowledge, and relationship management. Working Conditions: Retail store environment requiring extended periods of standing; stockroom environment with varied temperatures; frequent lifting and handling of merchandise and displays; exposure to dust and temperature fluctuations while unloading trailers; scheduled hours may vary, including evenings and weekends; occasional use of ladders required.
