
Overview
Federal Account Specialist The Federal Account Specialist (FAS) is responsible for implementing all deliverables and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established by GSMS/WSI and our internal leadership team and/or client companies. FASs support select generics and/or branded products, while developing and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships aligned with performance measures assigned by client companies. This role requires strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to coordinate internal and field-based activities across GSMS/WSI leadership, client partners, and federal customer networks. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary interface for the customer account, with responsibility for the overall customer experience and engagement with pertinent stakeholders. Establish and maintain effective communication networks with customers at multiple levels, including but not limited to: corporate personnel, Medical Chiefs of Pharmacy Service, Medical Facility P&T committees, medical directors, quality directors, service line leaders, pharmacy directors, and financial directors. Conduct routine internal business strategy discussions and performance reviews to ensure that client-facing teams understand and support the customer\'s business strategy at all levels. Coordinate activities with GSMS/WSI internal leadership teams and field-based teams to support company management and client objectives. Promote compliant product clinical value propositions to a broad range of VA and DoD specialty providers and pharmacy personnel across appropriate clinical indications. Access, interpret, and navigate the complexities of federal government markets including VA/DoD policies, procedures, contracting, and formulary trends. Develop and maintain relationships with target account administrators, pharmacy staff, P&T representatives, contracting officers, and policy makers—ensuring coverage of all medical staff including prescribing physicians. Develop and implement customized business plans for each target account based on client product portfolios and federal customer needs. Build long-term partnerships between GSMS/WSI and federal customers, projecting a positive image of GSMS/WSI as a premier outsourcing partner within the federal marketplace. Support activities to increase federal customer demand, access, and engagement across assigned product lines. Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities between leadership, client companies, and field-based teams. Demonstrated understanding of VA/DoD healthcare systems, policies, and procurement processes. Experience promoting clinical product information in specialty or federal healthcare markets preferred. Strong organizational and business-planning skills, with the ability to tailor strategies to unique client and customer needs. Ability to develop effective long-term relationships with clinical and administrative federal stakeholders. About GSMS

The hiring range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience among other factors. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of other health and welfare benefits.
