Overview

The Senior Activation Specialist will own the trial and onboarding phase of the client lifecycle, ensuring clients are set up for success from day one. This role requires a highly technical, process-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced ad tech or retail media environment. You will guide new customers through their first 30–60–90 days, ensuring they are fully set up, trained, and positioned to achieve early wins. This role involves close collaboration with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams to deliver a smooth onboarding experience and build a strong foundation for long-term client success. You will act as both trainer and strategist, leveraging AI-powered tools, documenting workflows, and optimizing onboarding processes to create a scalable, world-class client experience. Amazon Ads, DSP, and AMC

(or similar retail media/ad tech platforms) is required. Key Responsibilities

Client Onboarding & Trials

Lead onboarding and trial experiences for new clients, ensuring successful setup, integration, and activation of tools. Partner with Sales and Client Success teams to define success metrics and drive adoption through structured milestone check-ins. Create implementation plans tailored to each client’s retail media stack. Monitor client progress, flag risks early, and ensure timely resolution.

Process Design & Documentation

Build, document, and optimize repeatable onboarding frameworks that accelerate time-to-value. Maintain internal onboarding resources, SOPs, and training materials. Streamline trial-to-paid conversion workflows and improve cross-team efficiency.

Client Enablement & Training

Deliver structured training sessions and workflow walkthroughs to educate clients on platform functionality. Translate complex ad tech and retail media concepts into actionable client strategies.

Technical Implementation

Support clients with connecting ad accounts, data integrations, and attribution systems. Troubleshoot setup and reporting challenges with Product and Engineering teams. Maintain a deep understanding of system architecture to identify gaps or inefficiencies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as primary liaison between Sales, Product, and Client Success during onboarding. Provide structured feedback loops to Product and Engineering based on client implementation experiences. Identify upsell opportunities and ensure a seamless transition to ongoing client success management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field preferred. 3–6 years of experience in client onboarding, customer success, or ad tech implementation. Proven track record of building and scaling onboarding or implementation processes. Exceptional organizational skills with a process-first, documentation-driven mindset. Strong communication skills, able to bridge technical and business objectives. Proficiency in CRM and workflow tools (HubSpot, ChurnZero, Jira, Asana preferred).
