Ward’s Equipment Rental is a contractor-focused equipment rental company building a
structured, system-driven sales organization . This is not a customer service or order-taking role. This is a
revenue-producing inside sales position
responsible for converting inbound demand into booked rentals, executing disciplined follow-ups, and actively improving fleet utilization. If you enjoy sales conversations, asking for the business, and managing multiple opportunities with structure and urgency, this role will fit. What You’ll Own
Converting inbound phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries into
confirmed rental bookings Executing structured follow-up
on quotes, open opportunities, and inactive customers Proactively reducing idle fleet by matching available equipment with customer demand Accurately documenting calls, quotes, notes, and follow-ups in the CRM Coordinating with yard and delivery teams to ensure sold rentals can be executed correctly Supporting outside sales through clean internal handoffs and communication How Success Is Measured
Successful Inside Sales Representatives at Ward’s: Consistently book rental revenue from inbound demand Maintain strong
quote-to-booking conversion rates Execute follow-ups without being reminded Keep CRM data clean, complete, and current Contribute meaningfully to overall fleet utilization How This Role Operates
This role runs on
clarity, urgency, and accountability . Every interaction is logged Every quote has a follow-up plan Activity without documentation does not count You will be expected to think commercially—not transactionally—and manage your pipeline deliberately. What This Role Is Not
Not a front-desk or receptionist position Not passive customer service Not order processing only Not a role where effort replaces outcomes What We’re Looking For
Comfort with sales conversations and asking for the business Ability to manage multiple opportunities at once Strong organizational habits and attention to detail Willingness to operate inside defined systems and processes Preferred Experience
