
What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Used Vehicle Intake Specialist within the Used Car Operations business. This team is responsible for ensuring seamless customer experiences for all acquired lease returns across North America.
As a Used Vehicle Intake Specialist, you'll play a critical role in evaluating the condition of vehicles entering Tesla's Used Vehicle Program. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in vehicle damage assessment, strong customer service skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless experience. You'll ensure accurate damage reporting, generate repair estimates, and support customers throughout the intake process while contributing to Tesla's mission of sustainability.
What You'll Do
Assess vehicle damage using photos and on-site inspections, determining severity to estimate parts, labor and repair time
Address customer inquiries about wear-and-tear fees and the intake process
Resolve customer and internal teams' requests promptly, maintaining a focus on exceptional service and accuracy
Collaborate with cross functional teams including sales, financial services and used car stakeholders in support of customer and vehicle journey
Prioritize tasks, organize workflows and adapt to shifting business needs to meet deadlines
Maintain detailed records of vehicle condition and assessments using Tesla's internal tools
What You'll Bring
3-4 years of body repair experience, or 1-2 years of auto damage appraisal experience
1-2 years of customer service experience with strong communication skills
Experience identifying after-market parts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and web-based tools
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Valid driver's license and an acceptable and safe driving record
Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing, where applicable
