Provider Territory Representative Location:

Seattle, WA 98109, USA

Delta Dental of Washington (DDWA) is seeking a Territory Manager to own and grow an assigned region of our provider network. This role focuses on building strong relationships with Member Dentists and Provider Offices, walking alongside dentists as allies, meeting providers where they are in their practice journey, and removing barriers so they can deliver great care.

The pay range in Western Washington is $55,400.00 to $83,100.00, with base pay determined by experience and location.

Essential Responsibilities

Territory & Strategy: Manage and optimize territory performance to achieve growth, retention, and operational goals. Develop and execute territory strategies using DDWA tools and resources. Conduct daily outreach to dental office staff/providers to educate and support growth opportunities.

Provider Relationships & Support: Build and sustain provider/dental office partnerships through in-person visits and digital outreach. Educate and train offices on new products and system improvements, and conduct onsite dental reviews. Serve as a trusted partner and tailor support to provider needs. Maintain collaboration with sister Delta PR teams to share lessons learned.

Network Development & Growth: Recruit, develop, and maintain provider participation in Delta Dental networks to meet individual and team goals. Report on provider trends and inquiries with recommendations for improvement. Identify providers at risk of termination and conduct save calls to maintain network volume.

Industry & Cross-Functional Engagement: Represent DDWA at dental associations, conferences, and educational workshops. Act as a subject matter expert for Provider Relations and contribute provider insights to cross-functional initiatives. Identify opportunities for providers and office staff to partner with DDWA.

Leadership & Mentorship: Model team collaboration, propose creative solutions, and represent DDWA core values.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree +/or 4 years related experience, or equivalent combination (preferred).

Background in provider network support or sales/customer service, preferably in dental or health insurance.

Business acumen with experience in education, negotiation, and empathy.

Reliable, self-motivated, able to work with little supervision.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to prepare presentations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable speaking publicly and presenting; able to interpret and explain policies/procedures.

Strong time and project management; organized, flexible, adaptable, self-starter; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to synthesize data, communicate insights, and support change initiatives.

Models DDWA core values; represents DDWA professionally in territory and industry settings.

Travel

This position requires regular travel within the State of Washington, with occasional out-of-state travel.

Ability to travel statewide approximately 50–65% of the time.

Valid WA state driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance; ability to represent DDWA professionally.
