Kingston Care Center of Sylvania is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you’ll play an essential role in helping residents regain mobility, strength, and independence. Responsibilities
Carry out therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and daily rehab activities
Document resident progress accurately and report updates to the Physical Therapist
Provide education to residents and families on exercises, safety, and long-term wellness
Create a positive, motivating environment that encourages participation and progress
Follow Ohio state regulations and Kingston’s standards for therapy services
What you’ll need
Active Ohio Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
A compassionate, resident-first mindset with a focus on quality care
