The Construction Superintendent oversees the on-site construction of commercial and industrial solar projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance. The role involves managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to deliver high-performance solar installations. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Construction. Key Responsibilities And Expectations

Project Oversight

Supervise all on-site construction activities for solar projects. Monitor project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met. Ensure compliance with the project design, specifications, and applicable codes/regulations. Team Coordination

Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site labor. Conduct daily site meetings to review progress, address issues, and allocate tasks. Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site personnel. Participate in hiring, training, and coaching of employees. Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident workplace. Conduct safety audits and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety standards. Manage site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Identify areas for improvement and circulate information to the Safety Officer. Quality Control

Review and inspect installations for compliance with engineering standards and quality requirements. Address and resolve construction issues promptly. Document and report any deviations from project plans. Identify areas for process improvements and circulate information to the Sr. Director of Construction. Reporting & Communication

Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and schedules using company approved systems and procedures. Communicate project status, challenges, and updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders. Facilitate site visits with clients, inspectors, and other interested parties. Logistics & Procurement

Oversee delivery and on-site inventory of materials and equipment. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of supplies. Manage site logistics, including equipment staging and waste disposal. General

Other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time. Required to work on de-energize parts prior to inspection to ensure compliance with AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 2 years in solar or renewable energy projects. Technical Skills Knowledge of commercial solar PV system installation and construction practices. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction documents. Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., Procore, MS Project). Certifications OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification required. NABCEP Certification or similar solar credentials preferred. First Aid/CPR Certification is a plus. Key Competencies Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Working Conditions Frequent travel to construction sites. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights. Location Ontario, CA - (On-site/Field-based) Salary $95,000 - $120,000 with 10% corporate bonus potential
