Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution: Ensure strict compliance with contract terms and SOX controls for all day-to-day Trade Operations activities.
Operational Execution: Evaluate daily direct-customer orders against inventory data feeds and confirm that contractual inventory limits are met.
Operational Execution: Monitor internal inventory and metric reports to identify potential stock shortages and proactively engage with customer buyers regarding their stocking plans.
Operational Execution: Partner with the sales team to understand indirect customer stocking issues and communicate relevant updates to buyers and account management.
Operational Execution: Review direct and indirect customer product returns and determine the appropriate credit values based on Gilead’s return policies.
Operational Execution: Collaborate with third-party logistics providers and data-warehouse vendors to support accurate and timely data flows.
Operational Execution: Support internal teams—including Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Quality, IT, and Audit—to advance business goals and maintain operational excellence.
Operational Execution: Maintain high standards of customer service for both direct and indirect customers in alignment with Gilead policies.
Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Perform ad-hoc reporting, analytics, and documentation tasks based on evolving business needs.
Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Serve as a resource across the Trade organization (Operations, Strategy, Contracting, Relations) for analytics, contracting strategy, and recommendations.
Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Analyze data from multiple sources and clearly communicate insights to cross-functional partners.
Analysis, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance transactional efficiency, accuracy, and adaptability within a dynamic business environment.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and Six Years' Experience
OR
Masters' Degree and Four Years' Experience
OR
PhD / PharmD
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferably in a trade operations or similar role.
Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP), trade data platforms (IntegriChain or ValueCentric), EDI datasets (852/867), and visualization tools (Tableau).
Understanding of contracts, regulations, industry standards, and standard operating procedures.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical trade operations, distribution models, and compliance requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency with MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
Ability to multitask, self-start, and prioritize ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with large or complex datasets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
Ability to make decisions, influence peers, and solve problems collaboratively.

Benefits The salary range for this position is: $136,340.00 - $176,440.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
