Overview
The Amazon Advertising FP&A team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join the Productivity team. The role will help establish and monitor productivity measurements across our Global Ad Sales. The SFA will partner closely with Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Engineers to maintain and enhance productivity tools. This includes holistic ownership of productivity, benchmarking, and cost of service analytics. This role will work closely with Sales teams, regional Finance PoCs, and Ads Central FP&A. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, high business acumen and strong interpersonal skills to partner with Finance Sales and Product teams. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
Establish cost of service analytics and validation
Lead productivity reporting and deep dives
Maintain and develop standard reporting cadence and metrics for leadership benchmarking
Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Quarterly Business Reviews
A day in the life: This role will help drive standardization of reporting and insights for a global ad sales finance team, including productivity and cost of service.
About the team The Ad Sales Finance team supports the global ad sales organization around the world.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor\'s degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
