Overview

The Community Engagement Specialist is a revenue-driving role focused on building, activating, and growing strategic referral partnerships that directly contribute to client engagement and retention. This role goes beyond traditional community presence or relationship maintenance. The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for strategically identifying, onboarding, and developing referral partners that generate consistent, measurable business growth. Success is defined by results—clients acquired, partnerships created, and referral pipelines built. This individual thinks creatively, tests ideas quickly, and confidently explores partnerships. If you thrive on building meaningful relationships and holding those relationships accountable to results, this role is for you. Bilingual is preferred- Spanish- But not a requirement.

Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and onboard new strategic referral partners on a monthly basis

Expand partnerships, exploring innovative and non-obvious referral sources

Develop structured referral relationships with clear expectations, mutual value, and measurable outcomes

Drive new client acquisition directly through referral partner relationships

Treat partnerships as a growth channel, not a goodwill initiative

Track, manage, and optimize referral performance to maximize revenue impact

Actively nurture and grow existing referral relationships to increase referral volume and quality

Educate partners on services, value proposition, and ideal client profiles

Create referral strategies that lead to long-term, repeat client flow

Support client engagement efforts tied directly to referral relationships

Strengthen retention by reinforcing trust and continuity through strategic partners

Ensure referral-driven clients experience a seamless and high-touch journey

Qualifications

A relationship builder with a revenue mindset

Strategic, creative, and confident trying new approaches

Energized by growth, accountability, and measurable success

Proven experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or revenue-focused relationship management

Strong strategic thinking with a bias toward action and results

Comfortable initiating relationships and navigating conversations with confidence

Creative mindset with the ability to identify unconventional partnership opportunities

Data-aware and outcome-driven; understands how to measure success

Excellent communication, follow-through, and relationship-building skills
