Job Description
The Public Relations Manager supports Raising Cane’s local storytelling efforts by managing media strategy, refining processes, and leading campaign-based communications. This role is responsible for executing PR strategies, pitching media, writing press releases, and managing relationships with reporters and media outlets across all Raising Cane’s markets. The Manager drives brand awareness and supports all local PR efforts including New Restaurant Openings (NROs), Active Community Involvement (ACI), fundraisers, campaigns, milestones, and more.
Your Impact and Responsibilities:
Lead development and execution of press releases, pitches, media lists, messaging, and PR content for local campaigns, events, broadcast interviews, and brand activations
Collaborate with PR, local marketing, and brand teams to align on messaging and maximize reach
Lead local strategy for primary and secondary brand campaigns
Work closely with Real Estate and Development teams to track progress on construction and opening timelines for NROs
Monitor media coverage and trends to inform messaging and identify opportunities or risks
Manage PR calendars and inbox, reporting cadence, and team deliverables to meet deadlines and maintain quality
Produce talking points and media kits for internal and external spokespeople
Develop and maintain working relationships with various key media outlets
Travel Requirements:

Qualifications
5 years’ experience in public relations supporting food, beverage, retail, or consumer brands
Experience managing media campaigns, pitching national and/or local outlets, and developing relationships
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, business, or marketing
Strong writing and editing skills with mastery of grammar, punctuation, and AP style
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PR media tools, including Muck Rack and Cision
Detail-oriented, organized, and flexible for timely multi-project management
Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
High sense of discretion with confidential, sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with local media and strategy development for local campaigns including NROs, ACIs, and fundraisers
