
Overview
The Communications & Events Specialist serves as a resource within the Company’s Communications and greater Human Resources functions to assist in the alignment of day-to-day operations, including editorial calendar planning and management, cross-functional activity coordination, engagement programs support, creation and distribution of company messaging, and event execution support.
This position will work closely with the Communications and Human Resources teams and broader leadership to implement communication and engagement strategies across the organization. They will collaborate with departments in a dynamic environment to ensure objectives are organized, prioritized, and publicized.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads internal communications for NuAire, ensuring timely and accurate messaging across all channels.
Drafts and distributes communications, including internal newsletters, announcements, and feature content.
Maintains and manages the editorial calendar for all communications.
Develops and executes engagement programs designed to strengthen company culture.
Coordinates recognition activities and internal campaigns to promote engagement.
Assists in planning and communication for company events and activities.
Tracks and analyzes engagement metrics and feedback to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Orders promotional items, branded giveaways, and event materials for engagement programs.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, or business with some work experience; or an Associate’s Degree with 2+ years relevant communications experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional requirements include:
Exceptional analytical and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to quickly produce written communication pieces to crystallize concepts into messaging in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Comprehensive event planning and execution experience.
Design experience and expertise with Canva.
Demonstrated ability to develop effective partnerships across the organization at all levels.
Strong project management skills and pronounced attention to detail.
Able to work well within a team, as well as independently on projects.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, communication pieces, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information for groups of managers and associates.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Ability to draw and interpret basic graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
