The Texas Democratic Party
seeks an Operations Director to handle the day-to-day compliance and operations needs of the State Party. We encourage applicants with campaign experience, fast paced working environments, and experience in multicultural environments to apply. The staffer in this position will manage a range of duties to support the party's operations and financial activities. Responsibilities
lead bookkeeping work, such as processing and paying all bills in a timely manner, reconciling all committee records serve as the point of contact for all vendors and maintain vendor relationships serve as point of contact for day-to-day operations for State Party staff, including but not limited to office maintenance issues, benefits management, general insurance related matters, payroll, recordkeeping, and budgets and limits tracking lead campaign finance compliance reporting for the federal and state reporting authorities ensure that the State Party meets all federal and state requirements for recordkeeping and reporting, included in-kind contributions and expenditures lead HR work, such as employee onboarding, proper record keeping, point of contact for staff and employee concerns around personnel policy, payroll, and more provide State Party financials, such as monthly and quarterly budget tracking and cash on hand report outs work closely with the coordinated campaign staff to ensure all financial activity is in accordance with State Party processes and procedures develop, implementing, and maintaining rigorous reporting and analysis protocols: internally (up to State Party leadership), externally (state committee members and other stakeholders) develop tracking tools for receipts processing and accounts payable processing, including staff expenditure requests monthly cashflow projections, including analysis of types of money / permissible funding sources Requirements and Qualifications
Experience in campaign environments and fast-paced settings; comfort working in multicultural environments Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy Ability to take initiative and provide proactive solutions Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes Experience with HR functions such as onboarding and staff relations is a plus Employment Details
