
Credit Specialist
AHF Products has a great career opportunity for a Credit Specialist at our headquarters in Mountville, PA. As a Credit Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Credit team in making customer credit decisions, ensuring compliance with our credit insurance policy, and other credit-related tasks. This role will report to the Credit Manager. Job duties include: Review applications for completion and accuracy Contact customers for additional or missing information Gather various credit reports, financial statements, and other documents for each application Analyze data to verify information to evaluate credit risk Contact credit and bank references Prepare and make recommendations for credit lines to management Communicate credit decisions and policies to fellow employees (such as sale rep) and to applicants Provide customer with payment options Create and help maintain confidential credit files Data entry to create accounts, upload resale certificates, and other various account maintenance Maintain database that tracks open applications, work with sales, customer service, and customers questions regarding application status Other duties as assigned Travel: Less than 5% travel expected Knowledge, skills, and abilities include: Knowledge of the commercial credit function Attention to detail Strong time management and multitasking skills Analytical and critical thinking skills Strong communication skills Ability to understand credit reports, including Dunn & Bradstreet Strong interpersonal and customer service skills in order build and maintain client and business relationships Discretion and strong dedication to confidentiality to protect the financial privacy of AHF, customers, and business partners Qualifications include: Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent Two (2) years' experience as a credit specialist or equivalent role is preferred Experience with Office software (excel, word primarily) Basic understanding of accounting Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening Positive and Verifiable Work History Physical demands include: Push, pull, carry and lift 20 - 50lbs Walking, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements Talk, hear, read, write and comprehend English Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment Mental demands include: Think analytically Make decisions Develop options and implement solutions Work with a team Maintain regular and punctual attendance (consistent with ADA and/or FMLA) Attention to detail Communicate effectively Multitask in a fast pace environment Work with a Sense of Urgency AHF Products provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
