Job Summary Your Career: We are looking for a strategic, data-driven, and highly creative Director of Email Marketing Strategy and Execution to lead our lifecycle marketing engine. You will architect the entire customer journey being the expert in email marketing and co-planning alongside other digital activation channels. You will own the strategy and execution of all email communications, sophisticated automation workflows, and multi-channel nurture programs designed to drive acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. Your Impact includes strategic leadership, automation & journey mapping, segmentation & personalization, governance of email touchpoints, performance optimization through testing, MarTech management, analytics & reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and team leadership for email strategy and execution across the buyer’s journey. You will ensure email strategy is part of a multi-journey activation across channels and will participate in AI automation initiatives to reduce manual email execution, enable personalization, and optimize copy. Responsibilities
Build and execute a comprehensive global email and automation roadmap aligned with company revenue goals. Design complex, behavior-triggered nurture sequences for various personas across the customer lifecycle (from lead magnet to loyalist). Oversee database health and implement advanced segmentation to deliver the right message at the right time. Own email touch governance and optimize user experience. Lead a rigorous A/B testing culture to improve open rates, CTRs, and conversions (subject lines, copy, CTAs, send times, landing pages). Define MarTech requirements for seamless execution within email platforms (e.g., Marketo). Track and report KPIs including deliverability, engagement, opt-outs, and revenue attribution; translate data into actionable insights for the executive team. Collaborate with Content, Design, and Product teams to create high-converting assets and ensure brand consistency; work with Field and Sales to meet business goals. Build and manage a team of email strategists and execution specialists for best-in-class email strategy across the buyer’s journey. Ensure email strategy is integrated into a multi-journey activation across channels. Participate in AI automation initiatives to reduce manual email execution and enhance personalization and copy optimization. Qualifications
10+ years of experience managing a diverse team of specialists (email developers, copywriters, marketing operations managers). Experience implementing workflow efficiencies (using tools like Asana, Jira, or Monday.com) to decrease production lead times and eliminate last-minute firefights. Experience presenting channel performance and email strategy to leadership. Expert at mapping complex customer journeys bridging lead capture, onboarding, retention, and win-back strategies. Experience integrating email with SMS, Push Notifications, and Direct Mail to create a cohesive messaging strategy. Experience working with Data Science teams to build or utilize advanced attribution models to prove email’s value. Leadership in building a culture of experimentation, including complex multivariate testing on offers and landing page experiences. Compensation & Benefits
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales roles) is the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here. Salary range: $204,000.00 - $281,500.00 per year.
