General Description To assist Persons enrolled in the ACCS programs to live as independently as possible in a safe and dignified environment of their choice through the oversight of the ACCS teams. This management level position involves intra and inters agency staff, staff supervision and administrative duties as assigned for other teams.

Essential Job Functions Clinical Administrative Functions:

Provide direct supervision to Assistant Program Manager.

Provide indirect supervision to Program Coordinators, Site Supervisors and Direct Care Staff members

Participate in Clinical on-call rotation

Conduct trainings/education

Oversee risk management development and implementation

Assess transition of care readiness

Complete screening assessments, comprehensive assessments, and Treatment Plans when indicated

Report any incidents regarding accidents, injury or medication errors to the Quality Manager

Ensure all sites are in compliance with DMH regulations

Coordinate with DMH and Care Coordination Entities

Attend all required, but not limited to, DMH/BHS/ACO collaboration meetings

Develop Site Safety Plans

Ensure MAP compliance at all sites

Teach, implement and ensure that all staff are trained in Evidenced Based Practices

Administrative Responsibilities:

Schedule and assign staff work

Oversee facilities operations

Oversee household expenses

Ensure compliance with licensing regulations

Oversees staffing changes

Coordinate scheduling through ACCS team and within community support

Assume county wide function, i.e., training, scheduling, facilities management, Human Rights, licensing and/or substance abuse services

Participate in all relevant staff meetings and treatment team meetings

Participate in regularly scheduled supervision

Participate in all required DMH/Agency trainings

Develop and maintain relationship with community resources, which support consumer integration

General

Serve on interagency committees

Represent agency at intra-agency meetings

Maintain work environment, reporting any hazards to Division Director

Communicate with the client’s family and personal network

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

MA degree in license eligible field

Independently licensed LICSW, LMHC, LCSW

5 years residential and 2 years supervisory experience in residential programming preferably with similar population preferred

Basic appreciation for the challenges faced by individuals who experience mental illness.

Knowledge of community resources

Ability to write clear and concise reports incorporating observations of consumer’s behavior

Experience in direct care work with individuals with disabilities preferably in community mental health settings

Experience in case coordination

Demonstrate an ability to establish helping relationships, which encourage independence

Ability to objectively advocate for consumer’s needs

Leadership skills required delegating responsibilities to other employees and overseeing assignments

Ability to make independent decisions

Ability to assess consumer’s functioning and design treatment plans

Clinical understanding of psychodynamics and psychopathology

Ability to represent consumer and agency at treatment planning meetings

Demonstrate an ability to work with individuals who require intense levels of supervision

Skills to operate a site based program, and overseeing daily operations

Knowledge of licensing requirements and skills to maintain those standards

Ability to coordinate community supports to a cluster of clients with varying intensity of needs

Ability to integrate services with other agency programs and community based services

Ability to provide clinician counseling services

Valid driver’s license and working automobile available during working shifts

Commitment to the agency’s mission and values

Basic knowledge of agencies policies and procedures

Meets all credentialing requirements

Skills

Excellent oral & presentation skills

Leadership talent and the ability to delegate effectively

Working knowledge of computers

Knowledge of community resources

Successful completion of the Criminal Offender Record Information check (CORI)

Successful completion of an Driver’s license check (RMV)

Working Conditions

Works in office, temperature controlled

May be expected to work in a number of Brien Center locations

Facilitate groups in other community locations

Physical Conditions

Manual & visual dexterity; correctable

Push, pull, stand, reach overhead and twist

Able to bend at the knees, waist and lower self to the ground or floor without assistance
